Youth Programs Specialist: Karah Pedersen

Karah Pedersen is now serving as the Senior Advisor for Youth Programs at Ipas. This is an NGO with an international scope, focused on working to improve access and rights to high quality medical abortions and related reproductive health care services for women all over the globe. Karah Pedersen is leading the Youth Program, which is a multi-year endeavor focused on building the capacity of partners to advance reproductive health services for young women worldwide.

Karah Pedersen had previously worked at Ipas in the Health and Development Systems units, from 2001 - 2005. She returned to the organization in 2013 after working at FHI 360. Pedersen earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
It is Karah Pedersen's results-oriented management style and the excellent leadership skills developed over more than 15 years working in the global health and development field that make her remarkable. With a strong record as a health project director and senior strategist, Karah has demonstrated an excellent ability to assist global companies with their growth and to help them achieve more than they ever thought possible.
